Quanterix Simoa HD-X Analyzer

Overview

Simoa (Single Molecular Array) HD-X analyzer at the IPC is one of the most sensitive automated bead-based immunoassay platforms with multiplexing and custom assay properties.

Technology

  • Paramagnetic beads coupled to capture antibodies are incubated with the sample analyte of interest and detection antibodies are added.
  • The beads are coupled to an immunocomplex consisting of the capture antibody-analyte-detection antibody.
  • The individual beads are trapped in femtoliter-sized wells along with a fluorogenic enzyme substrate, those that are bound by the immunocomplex are detected by fluorescence that is converted to a digital read.

Key Features

  • High throughput and automated
  • 1000x more sensitive compared to traditional immunoassays
  • Multiplexing up to six biomarkers to as low as fg/ml concentration range

Availability

Panels are available for the following markers:

  • Angiogenesis and Vascular panels
  • Bone metabolism panels
  • Cytokine and chemokine panels
  • Inflammation panels
  • Intracellular signaling panels
  • Neurodegeneration panels
  • Toxicology panels (cardiac, kidney, liver, muscle injuries and natriuretic peptide)
  • SARS-CoV-2 panels
